The Golden Rules for Safe Tanning in Lebanon

In Lebanon, summer means sun, sea, and that golden tan we all love showing off. But if you think getting a beautiful tan means baking under the sun all day, think again. The real glow doesn’t come from just laying out; it comes from knowing how to prep, protect, and care for your skin every step of the way.

Want to tan safely and keep your skin healthy and glowing all summer? These 5 tips will change the way you tan forever.

1. Always moisturize before and after
Hydrated skin tans better and more evenly. Use lightweight oils before and hydrating gels after (like our Aloe Vera After Tan Gel) to keep the glow, not the flake.

2. Avoid tanning between 10am and 2pm
Lebanon’s sun is strongest midday, tanning during this time increases your burn risk. The best hours? Early morning (8–10am) or late afternoon (4–6pm).
Scientific Background:
  • The sun’s UV radiation (especially UVB, which causes sunburn and contributes to skin cancer) is strongest between 10am and 2pm, regardless of your location—including Lebanon.
  • This time frame is when the sun is highest in the sky, meaning UV rays have the shortest path through the atmosphere and hit your skin more directly.
3. Use a tanning oil with SPF
Don’t fall for the “coconut oil is enough” myth. Our SPF 15 Tanning Oil gives you a safe bronze with avocado, almond, and carrot oils + real sun protection.

4. Reapply your tanning oil every 2 hours
Sweating, swimming in Jiyeh, or walking around Byblos? Your SPF breaks down. Reapply to stay protected.

5. Don’t forget post-sun care
Cooling down your skin after sun exposure is just as important. Our After Tan Gel with Aloe Vera, Panthenol, and Rose Oil helps soothe, hydrate, and reduce redness.

Lebanese Tip: Want a longer-lasting tan? Eat seasonal fruits like carrots and apricots, packed with beta-carotene to boost your glow.
